Simone Bertolotti is a mechanical engineer, and he began his career in 2005 at Saipem, supervising
on-site welding activities. In 2008, he joined Ansaldo Energia in the Service Engineering, where he
held roles of increasing responsibility in the NDT team for inspection and refurbishment of gas and
steam turbines and generator components. He’s a certified International Welding Engineer and he’s
qualified to Level II in multiple NDT methods under UNI-EN-ISO 9712 standard, but his specialization
now is in advanced non-destructive controls, such as ultrasonic phased array and eddy current. With
many years of experience in inspection and hot gas blades repair activities, he plays a key role in
ensuring the integrity and reliability of critical rotating components.
