Sérgio Ricardo N. C. Vidal is a mechanical engineer with 25 years of professional
experience in inspection, maintenance, commissioning and engineering of processing
plants: petrochemical plants, refineries, gas plants, offshore installations, LNG plants,
In the last 22 years his has been working as a rotating equipment specialist/reliability
engineer/maintenance engineer and project manager in major European petrochemical
companies (Borealis and Repsol) and on some of the major oil & gas companies (Saudi
Aramco, Marathon Oil and Dubai Petroleum Establishment). Currently his working as
senior pump maintenance specialist at North Oil Company in Qatar, Doha.
He holds a master’s degree in maintenance management and a professional
certification as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) by the
Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professional (SMRP), besides being a
Professional Engineer by the NCEES (the National Council of Examiners for
Engineering and Surveying) from United States.
