Jumaa Al-Maskari is a distinguished professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Zayed University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. His career is marked by a strong focus on strategic planning, maintenance management, engineering services, and turnaround planning.
Currently, Mr. Al-Maskari serves as the Vice President of Maintenance at ADNOC. In this role, he is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the company’s Maintenance Management System and policies. He oversees all maintenance operations, ensuring the development and execution of comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs. His leadership ensures adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across various disciplines, contributing to the achievement of business objectives and sustaining high productivity standards.
Previously, Mr. Al-Maskari held the position of Engineering Services Manager (Inspection) at ADNOC GAS Processing. During his tenure, he managed technical studies, research, and failure analyses in the areas of inspection and corrosion. He provided expert advice and support in corrosion and inspection engineering, developed vendor service contracts for specialist services, and contributed significantly to operational reliability and efficiency.
As the Strategic Planning Department Head at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries LTD, Mr. Al-Maskari led the development and alignment of the company’s corporate strategy and long-term business plans. He managed the five-year strategic planning process, ensuring that strategic objectives were realistic, consistent, and aligned with the company’s vision and mission. His role involved extensive coordination with management, ADNOC representatives, industry shareholders, stakeholders, and internal contributors.
In his role as Turnaround Planning Section Head at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries LTD, Mr. Al-Maskari managed and ensured the safe, successful, and timely completion of turnarounds and modular equipment shutdowns. He developed comprehensive maintenance plans, managed contracts and budgets, and enforced the implementation of the company’s Health, Safety & Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Mr. Al-Maskari’s career began as a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries LTD, where he ensured the proper maintenance of plant equipment and conducted root cause analyses of equipment failures. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions, including Area Maintenance Section Head and Senior Planning Turnaround Engineer, where he continued to develop his expertise in maintenance management and strategic planning.

He is fluent in both Arabic and English and holds several certifications, including the IOSH Managing Safely certificate, GE Oil & Gas University Certificate, and NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
