Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer
Malluri Chandra Sekhar is a seasoned mechanical engineer specializing in rotating equipment,
with over 29 years of experience spanning concept design, FEED, detailed engineering,
procurement, construction, and commissioning in the oil and gas sector. He
currently serves as Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer, supporting ADNOC
Chandra is a certified Rotating Equipment TA2 holder (Shell Technical
Authority Level 2), recognized for his expertise in equipment specifications,
control schemes, and plant assurance workshops. His career includes pivotal roles in high-value
projects such as the Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (US$4B), Yibal Khuff (US$3B), and
strategic compressor procurement initiatives totaling over US$450M.
He has held senior engineering positions at leading organizations including Petroleum
Development Oman, Worley Parsons, Petrofac, and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, where he
led compressor design and development. His technical acumen spans Centrifugal compressors,
CO₂ pumps, Vapour recovery systems, and Water injection packages, with deep familiarity in
API, ISO, ASME, NACE, and Shell DEP standards.
Chandra holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna
University and a Master in Management from the Asian Institute of Management. He is
passionate about mentoring engineers, driving innovation in Rotating machinery, and
contributing to the advancement of engineering practices in high sour and brownfield oil and gas
