Joeri Ruiter is Head of Sales for the Services Business Unit at NEM Energy. In this role, he supports
power-plant owners and operators in improving the flexibility, reliability and long-term
performance of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and combined-cycle power plants. His
work focuses on the operational consequences of the energy transition, particularly the shift from
baseload generation to frequent cycling, fast starts and flexible dispatch.
Drawing on NEM Energy’s experience in HRSG design, upgrades, and lifecycle services, Joeri works
with customers to translate cycling-related risks—such as thermal fatigue, degradation
mechanisms, and changing inspection requirements—into practical maintenance strategies. His
perspective combines risk-based inspection, long-term inspection planning, and technical
solutions for both existing assets and new-build flexible plants.
At RoTIC Dubai, Joeri will discuss how HRSG owners can make their maintenance approach more
flexible and future-proof while protecting reliability, availability, and component lifetime in
increasingly demanding cycling operation.
